PowerFleet OPTIMO Application collects some Personal Data from its Users.
Privacy Policy
The processing of the USER's personal data is governed by the conditions below, by the relevant provisions of the applicable personal data legislation for the protection of the individual from the protection of personal data, instructions and regulatory acts of the Personal Data Protection Authority as well as the corresponding European Authority.
In more detail:
1. Responsible for Collection and Processing
Responsible for the collection and processing of your personal data, when and as long as it is collected through PowerFleet OPTIMO App, is the general partnership company with the name "iLINK NEES TECHNOLOGIES O.E." and the distinctive title "ILINK", which is based in Nea Ionia Attica, Averof Street, no. 34a.
2. Data Collected by the application
During installation the user is prompt to grant permission at PowerFleet OPTIMO Application, giving the ability to process the following data:
A. Position coordinates (geographic position)
B. Device information
C. Speed
D. Login Data
E. Usage Data
Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy or by specific explanation texts displayed prior to the Data collection.
Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using PowerFleet OPTIMO Application.
Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by PowerFleet OPTIMO Application is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for PowerFleet OPTIMO Application to provide its services. In cases where PowerFleet OPTIMO Application specifically states that some Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without consequences to the availability or the functioning of the Service. Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the Owner.
Any use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by PowerFleet OPTIMO Application or by the owners of third-party services used by PowerFleet OPTIMO Application serves the purpose of providing the Service required by the User, in addition to any other purposes described in the present document and in the Cookie Policy, if available. Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through PowerFleet OPTIMO Application and confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.
3. Device permissions for Personal Data access
Depending on the User's specific device, PowerFleet OPTIMO Application may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User's device Data as described below.
By default, these permissions must be granted by the User before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the device settings or contact the Owner for support at the contact details provided in the present document.
The exact procedure for controlling app permissions may be dependent on the User's device and software.
Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of PowerFleet OPTIMO Application.
If User grants any of the permissions listed below, the respective Personal Data may be processed (i.e accessed to, modified or removed) by PowerFleet OPTIMO Application.
Approximate location permission (continuous)
Used for accessing the User's approximate device location. PowerFleet OPTIMO Application may collect, use, and share User location Data in order to provide location-based services (foreground / background).
Precise location permission (continuous)
Used for accessing the User's precise device location. PowerFleet OPTIMO Application may collect, use, and share User location Data in order to provide location-based services (foreground / background).
Activity recognition permission (continuous)
Automatically detects activities by periodically reading short bursts of sensor data and processing them using machine learning models. PowerFleet OPTIMO Application may collect, use, and share User activities Data in order to provide location-based services (foreground / background).
Camera permission
Used for accessing the camera or capturing images and video from the device.
Photo Library permission
Allows access to the User's Photo Library.
Storage permission
Used for accessing shared external storage, including the reading and adding of any items.
Call phone permission
Allows making phone calls from the device.
Other permissions
- Flashlight permission
- Network state permission - Allows access to network connections
- Wake lock permission - Allows PowerFleet OPTIMO Application to keep the device on, when you need to do things even when the device seems to be asleep
4. General Terms of Personal Data Protection
The processing of your personal data is confidential and the COMPANY uses all the reasonably necessary technical and other means to ensure the confidentiality of this processing. Only the authorized personnel of the COMPANY and/or the personnel of third-party processing companies, with whom the COMPANY has contracted and process the data on its behalf, have access to your personal data, as the case may be and depending on the processing purpose, under the condition of compliance with the relevant confidentiality obligations included in the relevant contracts.
5. Rights regarding your personal data
You have the following rights subject to special conditions applying each time:
• Request access to a copy of your personal data that we collect and process
• Ask us to correct any incorrect or inaccurate information or data we collect and process about you
• Request that we permanently delete your information and data that we have collected about you
• Object to the processing of your data where such processing is based on our legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent to the processing of your data where such processing is based on the consent you have given us
• Request that we limit the processing of your data to what is absolutely necessary for its purpose both in terms of the data we collect and the time we keep it
• Request that we transfer or transmit your personal data to any third party you indicate to us
Exercise of your rights is not subject to any fee or consideration. Nevertheless, if during the processing of the request it is found that in order to complete your request, the COMPANY may suffer a disproportionate harm or that your request is completely unfounded or excessive then we may charge you a reasonable amount as the cost for processing the request.

General Terms and Conditions
A) For the resolution of any dispute that may arise from the implementation of this contract, Greek law is applicable.
B) Any dispute arising can only be brought in front of the courts of the city of Athens.
